　　今天我们带领大家看的翻译是2021年英语一阅读中的长难句，本句中单词有几个是有难点的。句式结构上有两个状语从句，需要判断被修饰的对象。

　　首先我们还是先来处理句子中大家可能比较陌生的单词以及固定搭配
　　investment n.投资
　　endure v.忍受
　　interrupted a.中断的，扰乱的
　　chaos n.混乱
　　Maintenance n.维护，保养
　　Incompetently ad.无能力地，不能胜任地
　　处理长难句我们首先先把这个句子断开，根据标点本句可以断成三个部分
　　Yes,more investment is needed,but passengers will not be willing to pay more indefinitely//if they must also endure cramped,unreliable services,interrupted by regular chaos//when timetables are changed,or planned maintenance is managed incompetently
　　这个句子分成三个部分，个部分是主干部分，Yes,more investment is needed,but passengers will not be willing to pay more indefinitely，由but并列连词把两个部分连在一起。第二部分是if引导的条件状语从句;第三部分是when引导的时间状语从句。
　　我们可以先来看部分
　　①Yes,more investment is needed,but passengers will not be willing to pay more indefinitely
　　主干部分是相对比较简单的，所以整体顺译即可，注意里面出现一个常考短语be willing to do sth.
　　整体顺译：确实更多的投资被需要，但是乘客们不会愿意一直为此买单。
　　②if they must also endure cramped,unreliable services,interrupted by regular chaos
　　If引导的条件状语从句中cramped,unreliable，interrupted by regular chaos分别为services的前置定语和后置定语，描述当前铁路服务的三个糟糕的特点，拥挤，不准时以及常因混乱而中断
　　整体顺译：他们必须还要忍受拥挤，不准点且常因混乱而中断的服务
　　状语从句要考虑其修饰对象，状语从句一般就近修饰，所以修饰离它较近的but这个部分，所以在整体翻译时候需要调整到but前面。
　　③when timetables are changed,or planned maintenance is managed incompetently
　　When引导的时间状语从句来修饰当前铁路服务的第三个特点，因混乱中断的原因，个是列车时刻表不断的发生变化，第二个是铁路维护计划执行出现问题。
　　整体顺译：当时间表一直变化或铁路维护执行不力时候
　　此部分也是状语从句考虑其修饰对象后应该将其放到被修饰的部分前。
　　完整句子翻译：
　　确实更多的投资被需要，但他们必须还要忍受拥挤，不准点且常因时间表一直变化或铁路维护执行不力等混乱状况而中断的服务，乘客们不会愿意一直为此买单。
