　　Organised tours to remote places and communities are becoming more and more popular.Is it a positive or negative development for local people and the environment?

　　With tourism having been developed into one of the most prosperous industries worldwide,tourists are now showing more preference for places of natural beauty.Personally,such preference,running counter to the widespread ideology,is in fact advantageous for both locals and the environment.

　　For one thing,the popularity of these remote places may to some extent disturb local residents.This is mainly because some locals may either feel uncomfortable with outsiders intruding into every nook and cranny of their daily life,when communities are teeming with travellers everywhere,even at their front gates,or grumble when crowding with tourists into local shops for daily necessities.However,these problems can be avoided as long as local governments take locals’needs into consideration and well design the tour routes.As a matter of fact,advocators will see this trend as a sound way to bring more immediate benefits for local inhabitants,since local industries,be they catering services,accommodation,or souvenirs,will thrive,producing more job vacancies.
