　　Dr.Patrick is an Associate Professor in the Department of Statistics at the University of Oxford.Prior to joining the University of Oxford,he was a Lecturer in the Computer Science department at Yale University and a Postdoctoral Associate at the Yale Institute for Network Science.He has a Ph.D.in Operations Research and Financial Engineering from Princeton University,where he worked in Applied Probability.His current research interests lie at the intersection of Applied Probability,Statistics,and Computer Science.He is interested in the investigation of fundamental principles to perform scalable inference,learning,and optimization in high-dimensional models,and in the design and analysis of algorithms in Machine Learning,with applications to graphical models and Monte Carlo methods.Patrick导师现任牛津大学终身教授，曾任教于耶鲁大学计算机科学系，拥有普林斯顿大学博士学位，荣获牛津大学杰出教学奖。Patrick教授的研究研究兴趣集中在应用概率、统计学和计算机科学的交叉领域,聚焦于高维概率、统计和优化的基本原理，为机器学习和人工智能提供高计算效率、统计较优的算法。导师同时对图形建模以及蒙特卡洛模拟方法颇有研究。
