KET写作备考：使用句式结构

非谓语动词形式

1）Our school held an English contest to improve our English.

句式：In order to improve our English, our school held an English contest.

2）When he walked towards the cinema, he met a foreigner.

句式：Walking towards the cinema, he met a foreigner.

with复合结构

When the sun set in the west, we had to wave goodbye to the workers.

句式：With the sun setting in the west, we had to wave goodbye to the workers.

倒装句

1）The library is to the east of the teaching building.

句式：East of the teaching building is the library.

2）He can grow to be a useful man only in this way.

句式：Only in this way can he grow to be a useful man.

强调句型

Our money is earned through hard work by our parents.

句式：It is through hard work that our money is earned by our parents.

定语从句

1）The flat is in a building on Fangcao Street. It is not far from Jianxin Chinese School.

句式：The flat is in a building on Fangcao Street, which is not far from Jianxin Chinese school.

2）Many boys learn to smoke. It does harm to their health.

句式：Many boys learn to smoke, which does harm to their health.

3）Taking exercise does good to our health.

句式：As we all know, taking exercise does good to our health.

插入语或者过渡性词语

1）Mary is an honest and kind girl.

句式：As far as I know, Mary is an honest and kind girl.

2）We should not spend too much time in surfing the Internet.

句式：In my opinion, we should not spend too much time in surfing the Internet.

3）It rained heavily. We had to stay at the hotel.

句式：It rained heavily; as a result, we had to stay at the hotel.

4）I was lost at the station. It was getting dark.

句式：I was lost at the station; what's worse, it was getting dark.

并列句

1）This problem is too difficult. I can't work it out.

句式：This problem is too difficult so I can't work it out.

2）I want to buy this bike. I don't have enough money.

句式：I want to buy this bike, but I don't have enough money.

感叹句

1）To prevent the pollution is very important．

句式：How important it is to prevent the pollution!

2）She is a clever girl．

句式：What a clever girl she is!
