英语中自相矛盾的单词

为什么英语这么难学？原因之一就是，1个单词多个意思也就算了，但居然有单词同时有2个相反的意思！

比如↓

**dust**: 1 除去灰尘 to remove dust.

2 撒上粉末 to cover with dust.

**hysterical**: 1 歇斯底里的 frightened and out of control.

2 笑翻了的 funny.

**nervy**: 1 大胆的 showing nerve or courage.

2 神经质的 excitable and volatile.

**fast**: 1 快的 moving quickly.

2 不动的 solid and unable to move.

**seed**: 1 播种 to sow seeds.

2 去籽 to remove seeds.

**weather**: 1 渡过难关 to withstand a storm.

2 风化、侵蚀 to wear away.

**screen**: 1 放映 to show, e.g. a film.

2 遮蔽 to hide something.

**bound**: 1 固定在一个地方 fastened to a spot.

2 前往某个地方 heading for somewhere.

**sanction**: 1 认可 to approve something.

2 制裁 to boycott something.

**apology**: 1道歉 an expression of regret for something.

2 辩护 a defence or justification of something.

**strike**: 1 击打 to hit.

2 （棒球）没击中球 to miss (in baseball).

**moot**: 1 有争议的 debatable.

2 不需要讨论的 not worth debating.
